The World Trade Center SÃ£o Paulo was founded in 1995 and is considered the largest business complex in Latin America. When it was built in the area of Berrini Avenue, where the main sectors of the economy are, the Complex was an economic milestone for the paulista capital. The pioneering project was built in the prime area of South Zone and is positioned in the main concentration of multinational corporations and major offices in Brazil.
Recognized as an important incentive business, WTC-SP aims to expand communication possibilities and global economic, with units working together in synergy, in a grand structure. It consists of the WTC Tower, Modern Office Tower with 25 floors, the refinement and sophistication of Sheraton Sao Paulo WTC Hotel, the WTC Events Center, the WTC Business Club, in addition to D&D Mall – the largest center of decoration in Latin America.
The WTC-SP is a business hub where various segments of the economy are concentrated.
The WTC was founded in America in the mid-60s by the traditional Rockefeller family. The acronym WTC is known worldwide and is strength and great deals synonymous. With the objective of promoting global business, the institution has 330 offices in 110 countries.
Impact of WTC-SP in Berrini
The architects Carlos Bratke, Roberto Bratke and Francisco Collet were responsible for initiating the famous and bustling Engenheiro Luis Carlos Berrini avenue in 1975. The idea was to escape the high prices of Avenida Paulista and thus settled at Rua Funchal and invested in projects for the avenue structuring.
In 1993 starts the construction of the Complex World Trade Center SÃ£o Paulo, SP-WTC, at the Berrini Avenue, which begins to undergo a major transformation. Entrepreneurs already perceived opportunities and predicted what became the current avenue.
The Brooklin neighborhood loomed as a potential business center, but without buildings. The scenario presented was composed of illegal occupations that contrasted with the possible expansion of an economic area of SÃ£o Paulo.
With the emergence of enterprises, entrepreneurs felt the need to organize an association that map the neighborhood, and seek investment solutions to reverse this situation. In partnership with the City of SÃ£o Paulo prefecture and the Department of Social Welfare were generated real benefits for these residents and in consequence for new firms.
In 2001, Gilberto Bomeny, CEO of WTC-SP and precursor of this action, was invited to give a lecture in New York, recognized by the United Nations (UN) for their commitment to the resolution of a socioeconomic issue.
The WTC SP Complex giant project’s, the largest business complex in Latin America, was a milestone in the evolution and contribution of the avenue that became known as the “Berrini.”
The WTC-SP has a social responsibility project and seeks to promote awareness based on three pillars: support to NGOs, encourage internal social practices among employees and renters of the complex, and sustainable actions that assist in the routine operation of the WTC-SP .All projects value the awareness of environmental responsibility.
